Powertrain Development Platform End-to-End Solution

Renesas offers a powertrain development platform that provides an end-to-end solution for powertrain development. The platform hardware includes a robust and sealable aluminum housing with automotive-grade connectors. The platform supports connectors on both ends of the housing so that either Port Fuel injection or Direct Cylinder Fuel Injection can be supported for a four cylinder, turbocharged engine. The microcontroller designed into the platform is the Renesas RH850/E1x, featuring the ATU-IV engine timing peripheral, running at 320MHz with 4Mbytes of flash. Additionally, the platform includes the Renesas Fast Solenoid Valve Controller (FSVC) ASIC for Direct Injection Control, and the NAC10 ASIC for input signal conditioning. Additional features include Electronic Throttle Control and standard low side and high side drivers, along with digital and analog inputs. Software support is enabled with SimuQuest’s QuantiPhi for automated driver development with Simulink support and SimuQuest’s Simulink-based Enginuity engine plant models.
